For both the Diesel Spring/Summer 2025 Runway Show and the Uncharted Territories: Academy of Art University 2024 Fashion Show, I was tasked with conducting a comprehensive analysis of key components such as stage design, model selection, hair and makeup, theme, and the overall message each show conveyed. The objective was to explore how these elements worked in harmony to communicate the designer's vision and create a memorable, cohesive experience for the audience. This analysis required a deep dive into both the visual and conceptual aspects of each runway show, understanding how every detail supported the narrative.

The process began by watching and studying the shows in detail, taking notes on every aspect of the presentation. For the stage design, I assessed how the physical space and set elements enhanced the overall aesthetic and mood. I paid close attention to the models' movements, their diversity, and how they embodied the theme of the collection. Hair and makeup were analyzed for how they complemented the clothing and reflected the story being told. I also examined how the designers used color palettes, fabrics, and textures to convey their message, considering the cultural or social contexts behind the pieces. Finally, I synthesized all these observations to form a comprehensive analysis of each show’s impact and the story it told.

Outcome
The analysis resulted in a well-rounded understanding of how Diesel’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection and the Uncharted Territories: Academy of Art University show utilized every element to tell a story. By dissecting the way the stage, models, and styling were aligned with the overarching themes, I gained valuable insights into the integration of concept and execution in fashion shows. This exercise also enhanced my ability to critically assess runway presentations and think about the intentional choices designers make in shaping their collections, ultimately deepening my appreciation for fashion as a multi-layered storytelling medium.
