Project Task
Our group was challenged to research and develop an original trend fashion forecast for the Fall/Winter 2025 season. Our goal was to identify emerging global influences, analyze cultural and consumer shifts, and present a cohesive trend concept supported by visuals, data, and storytelling.
Project Process
Skills
We began by analyzing current and historical socio-political, economic, and cultural movements, with a focus on underrepresented regions in fashion. Through this research, we identified a growing shift toward cultural appreciation and authenticity in design. This led to the development of New Global South—a trend rooted in the rise of third-world countries as influential sources of design inspiration. We curated mood boards, color palettes, consumer profiles, and macro/micro trends, weaving in elements like traditional textiles, craftsmanship, and storytelling. The forecast was presented through a visual and verbal narrative that emphasized fashion as a global language.

Outcome
New Global South presented a fresh, culturally conscious perspective on future fashion. Our concept emphasized the value of heritage, craftsmanship, and global storytelling in shaping future trends. The project not only refined my forecasting and research skills but also strengthened my belief in fashion as a tool for cultural connection and representation.
